Cleanses

Disclaimer: I am not a doctor. I am not authorized to offer medical advice. Below I share the cleanses and opinions that have helped others and me to heal physically and emotionally. Please use these opinions at your own risk.

Energy work can relieve the impact and effects of emotional trauma and restore the free circulation of healing and nurturing energy in the body. However, remnants of the emotions and chemicals that previously limited us can remain even after extensive energy work. Our bodies are composed of our thoughts and beliefs and we may reinstate blockages from memory if we do not allow physical shifts.

Cleansing the physical body is a powerful step toward long-lasting transformation. Cleansing is serious and individuals should be aware of everything they can expect. Please feel free to contact me to ask questions.

#1 Priority: Colon Cleansing

The cleanse that I recommend below removes the old lining of the colon and intestines to reveal fresh, nutrient-absorbing tissue and rid the body of festering impacted impurities. Research has shown that different parts of the colon and large intestine contain neural reflexes which correspond to the various organs of the body. The indication is that when these areas of the intestine are blocked, the function of the corresponding organs may be compromised.

I first did this type of cleanse in 2001 following a book that I pulled off a shelf while visiting my mother. I thought the title was hilarious but I ended up with information that may have saved my life. Here is an excerpt from Dr. Bernard Jensen's book, "Tissue Cleansing through Bowel Management":

"The heavy mucus coating in the colon thickens and becomes a host of putrefaction. The blood capillaries to the colon begin to pick up the toxins, poisons and noxious debris as it seeps through the bowel wall. All tissues and organs of the body are now taking on toxic substances. Here is the beginning of true autointoxication on a physiological level. One autopsy revealed a colon to be 9 inches in diameter with a passage through it no larger than a pencil. The rest was caked up layer upon layer of encrusted fecal material. This accumulation can have the consistency of truck tire rubber. It's that hard and black. Another autopsy revealed a stagnant colon to weigh in
at an incredible 40 pounds."

The best Colon Cleansing Kit I have found is by Blessed Herbs.
(I do not recommend their Internal Cleansing Kit,
but the Colon Cleansing Kit is wonderful).

Many so-called cleanses from health food stores cause excessive elimination or frequent, watery bowels. This is NOT that type of cleanse. With this cleanse, you should only eliminate 1-2 times per day and it will be very well-formed.

#2: Kidney Cleansing
(should only be attempted after completing a colon cleanse)

Many Americans complain of lower back pain without realizing that their kidneys may actually be causing the discomfort. The kidneys are located on either side of the spine about 1/5 of the way up the back from your tailbone. In our stimulant-driven society, these delicate organs and the connected adrenal glands are constantly pushed by coffee, tea, energy drinks and dark chocolate while pain medicines give them more to have to filter out. When our kidneys are fatigued, it can be harder for them to accomplish their tasks as a vital part of our immune system. As a result, our overall health can suffer.

It is important to cleanse the kidneys before and after cleansing the liver because they can be overwhelmed by toxins leaving the liver. I first cleansed my kidneys in Summer 2005 and afterward, I experienced relief from lower back pain, fatigue, acne, excessive sweating, and recurring sinus infections.

The Master Cleanse is a very powerful kidney cleanser. Here is a link to a website with instructions for the cleanse: http://themastercleanse.org/

*Note: I found the tea and daily salt water flush to be too harsh. I had better results by using only 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a 12-oz glass of warm water. Or, you can use the leftover "Digestive Stimulator" which comes with the Colon Cleansing Kit recommended above.

#3: Liver Cleansing
(should only be attempted after both colon and kidney cleansing)

The liver cleans our blood and cells and when it is congested, it is not as effective at removing impurities that enter on a regular basis. It is believed that gallstones in the liver contribute to the occurrence of almost every type of disease. I personally found amazing, instant improvement in memory loss, fatigue, irritability, depression, knee pain, and food cravings after cleansing my liver the first time in Fall 2007. I have since repeated the cleanse every few months and I plan to continue until no more stones are expelled as recommended in the book referenced below.

Every emotion we have ever experienced is created as a chemical reaction in our bodies. Chemicals which are associated with negative emotions like trauma, loss, fear, and anger are toxic to our bodies. Our organs go to work to remove these chemicals through sweat, tears, and all of the body's eliminatory paths. The liver stores remaining impurities by wrapping them in bile (gall) and tucking them away as gallstones.

Our bodies spend a lot of energy and resources trying to protect us from these chemicals and toxins that have built up over time. Unfortunately, remnants still leak back into our bloodstream and affect us, contributing to depression, fatigue and anxiety.

The most effective Liver Cleansing program I have found is in a book by Andreas Moritz entitled The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush.
